Description

The PRO 20 is designed to handle high-frequency noise generated during the operation of light power tools or automated electro-mechanical machines. It starts with a 13.4dB attenuation at 125Hz, gradually increasing to 20dB around the target area of 2KHz to 4KHz. It goes up to maximum protection of 24.5dB at 8KHz.

The PRO filter has a unique two-way conduction feature, which dramatically reduces the "blocking effect" of wearing earplugs, allowing you to hear your own natural voice when you speak. The two-way conduction also keeps the ear canal well ventilated and comfortable.

(The blocking effect is when you hear the sound of your own voice rumbles inside your head when you plug-up your ear canals.)

The figure below shows the PRO 20's attenuation curve. As you can see, at 106 decibels of ambient noise, the PRO 20 filter can provide up to eight hours of safe listening time. The diagram to the right shows the safe listening time that different models of PRO filters can give you at different ambient sound pressures. If the PRO 20 does not provide you enough safe listening time at your ambient sound pressure. You should replace it with a filter with higher attenuation, such as the PRO 26 or PRO 27.
