Description
Custom earphones and custom hearing aids are made to fit the shape of your ear canal, forming a perfect fit with your ear canal, isolating outside sounds, and allowing you to hear pure music without interference. Since the custom earphones form a closed, warm and humid environment with the ear canal, bacteria can easily grow. The skin of the ear canal can easily become infected, causing rashes or inflammation. Moreover, a closed ear canal will also cause moisture in the ear canal to be trapped in the precise miniature balanced armature speaker, which will cause parts failure over time. Therefore, it is important to dry, sterilize, disinfect, and clean after each use.

To ensure the hearing aid can remain functional, the manufacturers ask the customer to maintain the hearing aid by drying and disinfecting it at night while sleeping. The typical hearing aid dryer and disinfector design are mostly based on 60% relative ambient humidity. It uses an open heating concept to heat the air around the product to 45±5˚C to remove moisture. The disinfection part uses UV for disinfection. UV rays from the sun have long been used to kill bacteria, but only a very narrow UVC band of sunlight has a good bactericidal effect. If using UVA or UVB radiation, then it requires more than 20 hours of direct exposure to be effective. Therefore, many hearing aid sterilizers use UVC mercury lamps to kill bacteria; when you then add the heating for desiccation, it requires a lot of power, which needs to use bulky power adapter machines only suitable for fixed-point use. Some models use UV LEDs to make the machine smaller and lighter, but proper UVC LEDs with narrow frequency bands are expensive. Therefore, most of the machines use full-spectrum UV LEDs, which would require a long time of direct irradiation to achieve the effect of killing bacteria. ACS Revivo is designed for the UK's high relative humidity and the needs of its own professional-grade custom in-ear monitors, using an airtight dry box design with a 10,000 rpm high-efficiency fan to circulate the air inside the box rapidly through a specially selected high-efficiency desiccant capsule. When the air inside the box passes through the desiccant quickly, it becomes dry. The humidity accumulated inside the mini speaker is sucked out by the diffusion principle to become dry.



Revivo also sanitizes and conditions the custom in-ear monitors or hearing aid with an array of inbuilt UV LEDs and a nanoparticle titanium dioxide-coated honeycomb paper. When the UV lights hit the nano-TiO2 coating, causing a photocatalytic reaction of the water molecule producing hydroxyl and negative ions, which sterilize and cleanses the custom monitors.
